Colorado basketball player Haley Smith is the Buffaloes' female recipient of the 2016-17 Tom Hansen Medal. Smith was a two-time team captain, becoming just one of 15 Buffaloes to tally 1,000 points and 500 rebounds in her collegiate career. Twice she took home Colorado's Ceal Barry Pride Award for excellence in athletics, academics and personal conduct.
