UCLA basketball player Kari Korver is the Bruins' female recipient of the 2016-17 Tom Hansen Medal. Korver broke multiple school records, including career field throw percentage, single-season 3-pointers made and most consecutive games with a 3-pointer made. Majoring in communication studies and sociology, she also spent time doing community service in Mexico and hopes to become a teacher, coach or missionary.
