Sep 15, 2015

SAN FRANCISCO – OREGON STATE’S Timmy Mueller was voted the Pac-12 Men’s Soccer Player of the Week for competition during the week of Sept. 7-13, the Conference office announced on Tuesday.

Mueller, a sophomore forward from Post Falls, Idaho, scored two game-winning goals for then-No. 10/12 Oregon State this past weekend. Mueller scored his first goal of the weekend against Duquesne, following up on the rebound from his own penalty kick in the 89th minute to lead the Beavers to a 3-2 win. His goals in the 80th and 82nd minute in the following game against Cornell gave the Beavers a decisive 2-0 win, improving Oregon State to 5-0-0 on the season. Three of Mueller’s four goals this season have been game winners, leading the nation in that category.

This is Mueller’s first-career weekly honor and Oregon State’s 19th all-time player of the week nod.

In their sole matchup of the week, the undefeated Beavers are now ranked No. 8 and head North to take on Portland, Thursday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. PT.

A total of 37 matches will be featured live on the Pac-12 Networks.
