SAN FRANCISCO – SAN DIEGO STATE’s Brady Blackwell was named Pac-12 Men’s Soccer Player of the Week for competition during the week of Nov. 9-14, the Conference office announced on Tuesday.

Blackwell, a sophomore midfielder from Dublin, Ohio, scored the golden goal in SDSU’s 1-0 double-overtime victory over then-No. 16 UCLA on Saturday. His game winner came in the 103rd minute when Blackwell redirected teammate Ozzie Ramos’ shot from outside the 8-yard box and into the left side of the net. The goal was Blackwell’s second goal and second game winner of the season.

The win marked San Diego State’s first over UCLA since 2007. It was also the second time this season the Bruins were held scoreless. The Aztecs finish the 2015 campaign with an 8-8-3 record, its best overall mark since 2011.

This is Blackwell’s first Conference weekly honor and the Aztecs’ 18th all-time weekly nod.
